ABOUT OUR NEW CHAPEL
El ROI Chapel
Praise be to the Lord Most High! He is SO GOOD! The new Chapel at Camp Table Rock is now finished and we enjoyed an awesome summer of worship in this beautiful new space! Wow, what a blessing to worship in this beautiful atmosphere with the beauty of God’s creation as our background! The new Chapel is air conditioned and absent of horseflies - what a blessing!
We have named the new Chapel - “El Roi” which in Hebrew means - “The God who sees me”. Some Hebrew interpretations also include the possibility that “El Roi” means “The God who chases after me”. The name, “Jehovah El Roi” comes from Genesis 16:13 where we find Hagar running from Sarah, Abraham’s wife because Sarah was mistreating her. God sees Hagar crying in the desert and speaks to her. Hagar responds to God - “Jehovah El Roi” the God who sees me. We want every student and adult leader who ever attends Camp Table Rock to know that our God sees them! He sees them right where they are. He knows and understands their every situation and need and wants to meet them right where they are. We rejoice in the opportunities that lie ahead for us to encounter the awesome presence of The God who sees us in this beautiful new building!
